Background

The property recently acquired by Todd and Ann Green is located on a canal that was excavated in the mid-1970's. Grand Canal is a tributary of the Amite River, and is subject to extreme flooding and restricted sunlight. These conditions result in difficult turf growth for the residents along the canal.

This project has provided valuable experience for the team members, and valuable information for the homeowners. The scope of the project was modified to be manageable in the time allotted. Another important aspect of this project was that we the team members were able to gain "real life" experience that will enable us to apply what we have learned in class and in lab. This allowed for further understanding of the concepts and materials presented during lecture.
